Map availability risks across sign-in, transactions and external dependencies.

What the report highlights

ENISA released its Threat Landscape report on September 19, 2024, highlighting threats to availability. Its public-incident evidence provides risk context, not a prediction of attack probability for an individual site.

Map one complete user journey

A purchase depends on DNS, HTTPS, page assets, sign-in, inventory and payment callbacks. Map the owners and alternatives for each dependency, separating operations that can wait from those that must complete immediately.

Connect metrics to user outcomes

An online server does not prove that users can finish a workflow. Track success rates, durations and request identifiers for critical operations, then correlate edge, origin and third-party callback records during diagnosis.

Agree on the recovery order

A constrained service might prioritize sign-in, lookups and paid-order handling while deferring exports. Business owners should agree on that order and test user messages and retry behavior to avoid duplicate transactions.
