A CLEARER WAY TO CHOOSE

Three questions before you choose a server

The product name is only the starting point, and the business load is the basis for selection.

  1. 01 / RESOURCE

    What resource boundaries are required?

Websites, applications and development environments can be evaluated starting from the resource combination of cloud instances; there are clear requirements for hardware access, continuous computing and environmental isolation, and then comparison between bare metal and full machine rental. Focus on whether resources are exclusive, how to manage them, and how to increase capacity in the future.

  2. 02 / PROTECTION

What protection issues does the business need to solve?

The growth of normal access volume requires computing resources and business bandwidth to carry; the risk of attack traffic requires assessment, detection, cleaning and over-limit processing. DDoS-protected quota, application request protection and data backup solve different problems and should be planned one by one according to the application protocol.

  3. 03 / LOCATION

Where do users access it from and where is the data placed?

Whether the deployment in Hong Kong is appropriate depends on the main user areas, operators, access periods and return-to-origin links. Just because the website homepage opens quickly does not mean that login, payment and real-time connection are equally smooth; it should be evaluated based on actual business paths and data synchronization methods.

Both bare metal and physical servers can provide exclusive machines; DDoS-protected and Hong Kong regions can be combined with different resource forms, and the specific product plan shall prevail.

LOOK BEYOND THE SPEC SHEET

Account for the complete deployment

CAPACITY

Plan for peaks and growth

Organize visits, concurrent connections, data growth, and batch processing periods to differentiate between sustained load and short-term peaks. CPU, memory, disk and bandwidth should be combined with monitoring and analysis, and resource reservation should also have business basis.

AVAILABILITY

Dedicated hardware, DDoS protection and availability serve different roles

Exclusive resources address usage boundaries, DDoS-protected deals with specific attack risks, and high availability also involves multiple nodes, health checks, and failover. Any server needs a backup and recovery plan.

COST

Total cost includes operation and maintenance

In addition to computing resources, storage, bandwidth, IP, backup, software licensing and operation and maintenance investment must also be considered. The time cost of migration, expansion and fault recovery also affects whether the solution is suitable for long-term use.

DELIVERY

Agree on service responsibilities before launch

Determine in advance who will be responsible for system installation, application migration, hardware maintenance, network protection, data backup and incident response. Clearly describe the optional configurations, change methods, and delivery scope to provide a better basis for subsequent maintenance.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Questions before you choose

How to choose computing products?

First determine whether you need the resource elasticity of a cloud instance or exclusive use of the hardware resources of the entire machine, and then evaluate protection and geographical requirements. Titanium Cloud focuses on the combination of cloud computing and DDoS-protected, while the Hong Kong DDoS-protected server focuses on the Hong Kong region and protection lines. The AI business also needs to combine model, memory and inference to concurrently select resources, and the final configuration is confirmed based on the business.

Why are bare metal and physical servers introduced separately?

Both can provide exclusive physical resources. It is distinguished by delivery method and usage focus: bare metal focuses on cloud delivery, and physical servers focus on full machine rental and hardware solutions. They are not absolutely mutually exclusive categories of hardware.

Where can I check prices and specific configurations?

For cloud platforms, you can check the current available configurations and prices; for bare metal, physical servers and DDoS-protected solutions, you can contact technical consultants to confirm inventory, quotation and delivery time based on region, resources, bandwidth and protection requirements.
